A full property renovation is the most demanding job in the building trade. It involves a lot of moving parts — structural alterations, plumbing, plastering, carpentry, electrics, tiling, painting, and finishing — and the difference between a renovation that goes smoothly and one that turns into a nightmare almost always comes down to one thing: who is managing it.
Most homeowners end up hiring three, four, sometimes five separate tradespeople and trying to co-ordinate them all. The plasterer finishes but the carpenter cannot start for two weeks. The plumber moves the pipework but nobody tells the tiler. One trade's delay knocks on to the next, and before long you are chasing people, resolving clashes, and carrying the cost of someone else's poor scheduling. You end up as the project manager — a job you did not sign up for and are not being paid to do.
Bertie does things differently. With over 20 years across the building trades and NVQ qualifications in plumbing, carpentry, and painting and decorating, he manages your renovation from start to finish — handling the trades himself and co-ordinating everything else through trusted partners he has worked with for years. You deal with one person. One number to call. One standard of work from the first day to the last. That is what makes Renov8 London different, and it is why homeowners across London keep coming back.
Whether it is a tired Victorian terrace that needs bringing back to life, a flat between tenancies that needs a complete overhaul, or a period property where every detail matters, this is the service worth talking about first. For individual trades, see Plastering, Painting & Decorating, Plumbing & Electrical, Tiling & Flooring, Carpentry & Joinery, Kitchen & Bathroom Fitting, or Roofing & External Works.

Full Accountability
There is no one else to blame and no one else to call. That clarity matters when you are spending serious money on your home.
Why Bertie for Your Renovation?
Full property renovations are where Bertie's range of skills matters most. With NVQ qualifications across plumbing, carpentry, and painting and decorating — and over 20 years of hands-on experience across London — he does not just manage the work, he does a significant proportion of it himself. The plastering, the carpentry, the tiling, the painting — they are all his work. That includes the outside too — if the garden needs decking, new fencing, or a patio laid, Bertie handles it as part of the same project rather than leaving you to find someone else once the inside is finished. For electrics, he partners with a trusted team of qualified electricians he has worked with for years. The result is a renovation where the standard does not drop between trades, because the person responsible for the outcome is the same from start to finish.
Bertie has built his reputation entirely through word of mouth. Every job he has ever won came from someone who was happy enough with his work to recommend him. That is 20 years of trust, earned one project at a time — and it is the reason Renov8 London has never needed to advertise.

Renovation FAQs
It depends on the size of the property and the scope of work. A one-bedroom flat might take four to six weeks. A full house renovation across two or three floors could take three to four months. I will give you a realistic timeline when I visit and assess the job — I would rather be honest upfront than overpromise and scramble to catch up.
Not always — it depends on what is being done. If we are working room by room, you can often stay in the property. If the plumbing or electrics are being stripped out, or if the work covers the whole property at once, you will probably need to be elsewhere for part of it. I will tell you what to expect before the job starts so you can plan around it.
That is the whole point — I manage everything. Plastering, plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, kitchen and bathroom fitting, and external work are all covered. For electrics, I work with a trusted team of qualified electricians I have partnered with for years. You deal with me throughout, and I take responsibility for every part of the job.
There is no useful answer I can give without seeing the property. Every job is different — a cosmetic refresh and a structural renovation are not in the same category. What I can tell you is that I will give you a clear, itemised quote with no hidden extras, and I will explain exactly what is included. The site visit and quote are free.
Always. You will get an itemised breakdown of the work, the materials, and the cost — before anything starts. I do not do vague estimates or verbal agreements. If the scope of work changes during the job, we discuss it and agree the cost before I carry on. No surprises.
