We only collect information that's necessary to respond to your enquiry and complete renovation work. Here's what we collect, depending on how you contact us:

Via phone or WhatsApp
If you call or message Bertie directly, we may note your name, phone number, and details about the work you need.
Via email
If you email bertie@renov8london.co.uk, we'll have your email address and any information you include in your message.
When you browse this website
This website does not use analytics or tracking tools, and it does not set any tracking cookies. Like almost every website, the servers that deliver it (see Who We Share Your Data With) briefly record technical information such as your IP address and browser type, so that pages can be delivered to you securely.
What we do NOT collect

- We do not run user accounts or logins
- We do not collect data from children — our services are aimed at adults
Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis)

We do not use your data for marketing purposes unless you have separately agreed to this.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Enquiry and project data: We keep this for two years after your last contact with us, or for one year after the completion of any work, whichever is longer. This is in case any questions or disputes arise about the work carried out.
Email correspondence: Kept for as long as the email account is active, or until you request deletion.
Enquiry notifications: When you submit the quote form, your enquiry is saved in Netlify and sent to Bertie by email and text message. These copies are kept for the same period as other enquiry data above, then deleted.
Technical data: Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period, in line with its own retention policy.
When data is no longer needed, it is deleted.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
The only third parties who may process your data are:
Netlify — hosts this website and receives the quote form. Your enquiry is stored securely in the website's Netlify account and emailed to Bertie from there. Netlify is based in the USA and may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. See Netlify's privacy policy.
Twilio — sends Bertie a text message with the details of your enquiry so he can call you back quickly. Twilio may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. See Twilio's privacy notice.
Google Workspace — Bertie's email (including bertie@renov8london.co.uk and hello@renov8london.co.uk) is hosted on Google Workspace, so emails you send to Bertie, and enquiry emails from this website, are stored by Google. See Google's privacy policy.
Google Fonts — the typefaces on this website are loaded from Google's servers, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads. No cookies are set. See Google's privacy policy.
All third-party services used are selected for their compliance with UK data protection standards.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:
Right to access — You can ask to see a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to correction — If your data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it.
Right to erasure — You can ask us to delete your personal data. We'll comply unless we have a legal reason to keep it (for example, to resolve a dispute about completed work).
